Howard opened up.
Ted explained Fogman rooms, meeting room and banquet meal prices.
Robert asked about target sponsorships – this information was emailed after meeting.
Tim did RD report, money has been up for this year’s banquets. All events seem to be going
well, did not have any information from Trey.
Ted announced scholarship winner again, this was first announced at March Board Meeting.
Mattie Caviness form Chatham County was this year’s winner. There was some discussion
about how chapters are reimbursed from Super Fund for local winners.
Greg discussed Shindig – will be held at Stoney Mountain Venue (10 minutes from fairgrounds
where it has been held previously), September 28. Venue is free and caterer has been
confirmed. We will need to secure an auctioneer. Begin working on donations after banquet
season. There were a lot of technical difficulties – Brent reminded everyone to mute if not
speaking. Howard thanked Greg for working on this. Tim commented that this is a nice venue
and should work well. Greg confirmed with everyone if September 28 was a good date,
everyone commented they were good with that date.
Tim discussed supporting a non-NWTF youth event/festival in Avery County (we do not have a
presence here) April 6th. Requesting $1000 for water and JAKES memberships. Robert asked if
all chapters will want us to pay for JAKES memberships. Brent motioned to cover this event
(time issue), Robert made a second, no objection, motion passed.
Brent Called meeting due to technical issues.
